BGP also has nurses available depending on the services you require. All nursing appointments must be made in clinic or over the phone, they cannot be booked online and must be requested by a GP.

The GPs consulting from BGP operate independently and bill under their own ABN, at their own discretion. Fees vary based on the consultation type, appointment length, and complexity.
The list below is intended as a guide only: theatre, procedures, dressings, vaccinations and some other services will incur additional charges.

Full payment is required on the day of your appointment. Your Medicare rebate, (if applicable), can be claimed on the day instantly or we can send your invoice online to Medicare and the rebate will be deposited back into your nominated bank account.

Please note BGP is cashless. We accept card and cheque. For alternative payment methods contact us to discuss alternative options.

If you are an existing BGP patient, you can conveniently order repeat prescriptions and referrals online via Hot Doc. Alternatively, please phone reception on 5327 7277 and they can pass your request onto the GP. Requests (without a consultation) will incur a fee of $25.60.

The consulting GPs offer both paper scripts & eScripts. An eScript is an electronic script sent to you via email or text message which appears as a QR code, as shown below. Your pharmacy will scan the QR code to retrieve the details of your script and dispense.

For patients that have opted into our SMS program you will receive a text message the day prior to confirm your appointment. If you need to cancel your appointment, please reply “No”, phone the clinic on 5327 7277, or cancel via Hot Doc. Cancellations are to be made no later than 24 hours prior to your appointment time. If there are exceptional circumstances please phone us.

Failure to attend your appointment, or cancellation without adequate notice, may result in a non-attendance fee of $75.00 at the discretion of your GP.

Once your test results are received your GP will review and action them accordingly. If the GP requires you to make a follow up appointment our reception team will contact you via phone. If the GP does not require any follow up, you will not be contacted.

Please note our reception team aren’t medically trained and cannot view, interpret or issue results.

BGP offer a recall system for chronic disease management plans, health assessment & cervical screening. You will receive SMS notifications when these are due or may also be contacted by phone or mail.

If you are experiencing cough, cold, flu, fever or any other contagious symptoms please inform staff at the time of your booking. When you arrive for your appointment, we ask that you please remain in your vehicle, phone to let us know you have arrived or use self-check in via Hot Doc..

Your GP will call you when they are ready to discuss your symptoms with you. If you are experiencing contagious symptoms, ensure a mask is worn on-site to prevent the spread of infection.

BGP offers an afterhours service between 6pm-8am for existing patients. Please phone the afterhours, on call GP on 0418 508 249 if you require medical advice.

Alternatively, BGP at the Arch has extended opening hours on Tuesday & Thursday through to 8pm.
GP’s practicing from all 3 locations rotate weekend & public holiday appointments from 9am – 12pm at the Arch location.

MyMedicare is a voluntary program which aims to strengthen the relationship between patients, their healthcare teams and drive improvements in primary healthcare.

Registration for MyMedicare is best undertaken using your MyGov account, alternatively, a paper form may be completed and returned to BGP which will be submitted on your behalf.

My Health Record is a secure digital record of your health information linked to your MyGov account which can be easily accessed by yourself, your healthcare providers and any other people you choose to share it with. There is no need to register for a My Health record as every Australian has a My Health Record unless you have opted out.

My Health Record can store your personal details & medical history such as:
– Health summary
– Current medications
– Referral letters
– Allergies
– Immunisations
– Pathology reports
– Hospital discharge reports
