Ballarat Group Practice (BGP) has proudly served the Ballarat community for over 75 years, offering a diverse range of specialised services to Consulting Doctors, Allied Health Professionals, and their patients.
Our commitment is to provide a variety of exceptional facilities and services, ensuring excellence in every aspect to support Consulting Doctors and Allied Health Professionals in providing their medical services.
Our practices include:
- Clean and comfortable waiting areas
- Confidential and private examination, treatment, and consulting rooms
- Fully equipped theatres with excellent support from the BGP nursing team
Operating from three accredited locations, BGP practices meet the Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL) standards set by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). The accreditation process is extensive and is undertaken voluntarily every three years to maintain a safe, high-quality standard to support GPs who provide healthcare to their patients.
BGP is proud to be an accredited teaching practice for GP Registrars in Western Victoria. In addition, BGP provides on the ground exposure & training for medical students. Where medical students may be in attendance with a consultation, consent will be sought first from each patient.

BGP also has an exceptional nursing team that assist your consulting doctor with a range of services including:
- Immunisations
- ECG
- iron infusions
- wound care
- minor procedures
- cardiac holter monitor
The GPs we support offer extended hours, weekend & public holiday appointments to accommodate your needs beyond their clinic hours.Â
Each BGP location has an independent pathology & pharmacy nearby for your convenience, supporting your GP in providing integrated, comprehensive care.

Nursing and reception staff adhere to ethical standards, Privacy Principles and legislation, to maintain discretion and confidentiality concerning patients’ health and wellbeing.
